Sculpty Pet
CHALLENGE
Students used SculptGL to create 3D models of animals or pets. SculptGL is a 3D digital sculpting Computer Assisted Design (CAD) program. It lets users sculpt 3D designs, apply symmetry, import/export these files in 3D printable formats, and automatically share them on portfolio sites like Sketchfab. The students worked through the Sculpty Pet Challenge through the FUSE curriculum created by Northwestern University.
In each challenge of Sculpty Pet, students had to sculpt and paint digitally from a ball of clay. Look at the examples below and see if you recognize the animal, pet, or famous character. How many can you identify?
